Accountant

Duties:

* Completes journal entries
* Reviews monthly bank reconciliations
* Reviews accounts payable vouchers and cash receipts
* Assists in the fiscal year end audit process
* Assists in preparing internal Financial Statements according to generally accepted accounting principles.
* Prepares annual IRS Form 990
* Prepares annual FQHC Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
* Assists with budget development, monitoring and grant reporting as requested
* Prepares monthly contract billing and does contract compliance reviews
* Prepares quarterly incentive payments
* Reviews payroll transactions for grant and cost accounting accuracy
* Assists with annual federal UDS reporting and data transmission
* Authors and updates written accounting policies and procedures as requested
* Assists with monitoring investments
* Assists with construction-related reviews and accounting entries
* Preforms any other financial, accounting or statistical task as may be necessary and assigned

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in accounting
* Ability to work independently
* Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Word
* Knowledge of computerized accounting package and Business Intelligence reporting
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong analytical skills and ability to comprehend complex financial issues
* Understanding of GAAP
* Ability to understand and interpret IRS and other governmental laws and regulations
