GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for carrying out the policies established by the Allumbaugh House and Terry Reilly Health Services governing bodies and managing the overall operations of Allumbaugh House under the supervision of the Director of SUD Services. Assuring that all required policies and procedures are documented and reviewed timely, clinical services, program and operations is developed and implemented consistent with evidence-based practices, Joint Commission and CARF standards. Supervises, organizes and evaluates services provided within Allumbaugh House, including personnel, clinical care practices, and community relations to provide for a safe, positive work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • In collaboration with Allumbaugh House leadership team, develops, reviews and implements operational policies and procedures, which at a minimum meet the standards established by The Joint Commission, CARF and Terry Reilly corporate policies.
  • Is responsible for recruitment, hiring, orientation, evaluation, and discipline of the multi-disciplinary Allumbaugh House treatment team. Ensures licensure, credentialing and training requirements are met.
  • Responsible to assure adequate staffing of nursing, counselor/social work, psychiatric technicians mental health providers and supportive personnel.
  • Is responsible for the day-to-day management of Allumbaugh House operations and patient care, including ancillary activities such as meal, linen, building maintenance and housekeeping activities.
  • Partners with the Medical Clinician team to implement and revise patient care plans to provide for safe, effective patient care.
  • Partners with the Director of SUD Services and Allumbaugh House leadership team on revisions and enhancements to programing, services, and care delivery to provide for continuous quality improvement.
  • Provides enhanced nursing leadership in partnership with Medical Director, or delegate, for high risk, rising risk, emergent or complex patient cases.
  • Collaborates with Allumbaugh House leadership team in the development of an annual clinic operating budget, as well as on-going monitoring and evaluation of clinic expenses.
  • Assists the Director of SUD Services in data collection and reporting as required by grant funders and governing bodies.
  • Monitors third-party and vendor contracts.
  • Reviews problems and adverse incidents related to operations and/or patient care for opportunities for process improvement.
  • Acts as a community liaison to enhance community relationships, attends meetings, and participates in committees as needed.
  • Assists the Director of SUD Services and the Behavioral Health Director in identifying needs and deficiencies in treatment program and services and develops plans to address gaps.
  • Implements and management quality improvement related activities designed to monitor and enhance the quality of patient care.
  • Participates in corporate committees integrating and aligning Allumbaugh House with broader Terry Reilly policies, protocols and operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Medicine, or Social Sciences Field.
  • Current Idaho Professional license (e.g., RN, LMSW, LPC).
  • Successful clearance of Department of Health and Welfare Criminal Background Check.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative capacity with demonstrated knowledge and experience in budgeting, financial management, supervision, personnel management, employee performance assessment, personnel management, and data collection and reporting.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working within the field of alcoholism, substance use disorders and mental health.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, as well as other health professionals and agencies.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations.
  • Able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to facilitate positive and effective working relationships with the entire health care team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two or more years experience in an administrative position within a residential mental health crisis and detoxification center.
  • Three or more years experience in the field of alcoholism, substance use disorders and mental health.
  • Master's degree in nursing, Medicine or Social Sciences field.
  • Experience working with a wide variety of patient populations, including patients living in poverty and individuals of minority groups.
