Associate Director of Patient Access

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES     

This position is responsible for direction and leadership of Patient Access operations. The Assoc. Director of Patient Access leads the Front Desk and Patient Access and Referral teams in achieving a superior patient experience, leading customer service initiatives, team-based care navigation and promoting patient access to care. The Associate Director collaborates with Executive Leadership and other stakeholders to achieve clinic goals in a patient centered manner. The Associate Director provides leadership in establishing and maintaining a professional environment and provides on-going training and support to promote staff development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant training and experience in health care administration or other related field.
  • At least four years of demonstrated direct supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
  • At least two years of demonstrated experience in multi-disciplinary healthcare operations.
  • At least two years' experience in schedule management and clinic utilization. This includes knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and major insurance carrier regulations, procedures, and benefit plans.
  • Strong leadership abilities with skills in financial management, human resources, planning and operations.
  • Systems thinker with good analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills, using Microsoft Office products, to include Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated customer service and communication skillset.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate and navigate patient account information and inquiries, reporting, compile information within an EHR/CRM or other account platform.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years' experience as a Practice Manager in a multi-disciplinary health system across multiple clinic locations.
  • Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Experience in working with underserved populations.
  • Two years' experience with Medicaid and major insurance carrier regulations, procedures, and benefit plans.
