Clinical Supervisor / Boise 23rd SANE

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES       

Provide clinical supervision to SANE Solutions Batterer Treatment Specialist(s) and other Grant employees. Ensure effectiveness and consistency of therapeutic procedures, administrative procedures and adherence to SANE Solutions guidelines and corporate policies.

• Performs the functions of a SANE Solutions Batterer Treatment Specialist.
• Ensures SANE Solutions Batterer Treatment Specialists meet the requirements of the SANE Solutions Treatment Specialist job description.
• Ensures that treatment staff adheres to the ethical guidelines for the respective disciplines including: Council on Domestic Violence (CDV), National Association of Social Work (NASW) and the American Counseling Association (ACA) or the state equivalent of these entities.
• Attends offender and batterer staff meetings and provides consultation regarding individual client treatment plans and "tough cases".
• Meets with clinicians as needed to provide individualized consultation regarding caseload and clients.
• Provides supervision for therapists working toward clinical endorsement.
• Conducts personnel evaluations for Batterer therapeutic staff as well as other grant employees utilizing chart review and feedback from SANE Solutions support services, Behavioral Health Director, and referral sources.
• Meets with or calls referral sources as needed to maintain relationships and ensure satisfaction with the SANE Solutions program services, providers, policies and procedures.
• Reviews and, when needed, revises therapeutic treatment assignments and handouts to ensure they continue to be effective and current in conjunction with the clinical staff and the Behavioral Health Director.
• Maintains and monitors for completion of quality assurance activities for appropriate funders and referral sources.
• Periodically reviews and, when needed, revises the SANE Solutions therapeutic Batterer policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date in conjunction with the clinical staff and the Behavioral Health Director.
• Ensures that all supervised staff on leave have arranged for an appropriate substitute facilitator for groups and that support services staff are notified.  
• Monitors and approves supervised therapists' time through the corporate time and attendance system to ensure accuracy and compliance with corporate policy. Monitors and approves/denies TOP requests.
• Ensure that therapists use their education monies to keep them current in their chosen fields.
• Brings all important personnel issues and tough cases with potential for legal liability to immediate attention of Behavioral Health Director.
• Participates in budget preparations, monitoring, and/or modifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Successful clearance of Department of Health and Welfare Criminal Background Check.
• Master's degree required in counseling, social work, psychology or related field.
• State of Idaho license as LPC or LMSW.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A minimum of 2 years experience or specialized training in the sexual or familial abuse field.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• State of Idaho license as LCPC or LCSW.
• Member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA).and active in its Idaho chapter, IATSA.
• Approved supervisor with the State of Idaho Counseling or Social Work Board.
• Experience providing clinical supervision in a mental health setting.
• Thorough knowledge of local referral sources.
• Experience testifying in court.
