Credentialing Assistant

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES      

Responsible for general administrative office support to credentialing functions including provider contract management, licensing, privileging and credentialing. Assists with credentialing, recredentialing and enrollment paperwork, data input and tracking. Credentialing functions include, but are not limited to, verification of professional licensing, training, and certifications of professional medical staff, updating and maintaining database with the requirement that all employed healthcare professionals and services meet all applicable federal and state medical standards. Responsible for ensuring that all critical tasks are fulfilled on a timely basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School graduation or equivalency
• Familiarity with healthcare industry, governance, and work
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years experience in a medical credentialing role.
• Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification.
• Experience using Microsoft Access.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
