Domestic Violence Treatment Specialist

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide treatment, intervention, and prevention services to victims of sexual abuse, sexual offenders, domestic batterers, their families, and the community.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES


  • Provide group counseling and educational information to perpetrators of domestic violence.
  • Provide clinical and therapeutic counseling to clients on caseload.
  • Be knowledgeable about and network with community resources as pertinent to caseload.
  • Attend and participate in all staff meetings.
  • Provide court testimony when subpoenaed.
  • Meet deadlines to provide periodic client progress reports to outside stake agencies.
  • Utilize training funds appropriated for educational advancement consistent with CEU policy; attend required workshops as they occur.
  • Portray professionalism to clients, other TR department personnel, referral sources, and the community during daily interactions and appearances.
  • Comply with all current TR policies, including HIPAA policies.
  • Complete initial intake assessments and mental status examinations, treatment plans and yearly updates consistent with Medicaid requirements.
  • Permanently maintain client charts and record progress notes pertaining to services delivered in a coherent fashion, consistent with established policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful clearance of Department of Health and Welfare Criminal Background Check.
  • Bachelor's degree required in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
  • Work experience or specialized training in the sexual, family abuse, or domestic violence.
  • Ability to work a minimum of two evenings per week.
  • Ability to transport self to SANE Solutions Ada and SANE Solutions Canyon office, as required by Program Director.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Valid LCSW or LCPC or equivalent license in the state of Idaho.
  • Good speech and oral presentation skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced training and experience in the field of courts, law enforcement, and/or corrections.
