Front Office Coordinator

Full-Time, Caldwell
*Ability to work all hours 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday hours when needed 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Terry Reilly Health Services is seeking a working receptionist who is also responsible for coordinating the front office functions. This person will work under the supervision of the Front Office Manager.

DUTIES

1. Provide leadership and direction in order to maintain a professional environment which seeks to maximize collections while delivering exceptional customer service.
2. Monitor and assist clinic patients in accessing needed care in professional, courteous and efficient manner.
3. Manage incoming calls.
4. Prepare necessary financial records for patients required for registration. Obtaining documents and records for accurate input.
5. Collect and post patient payments.
6. Schedule appointments.
7. Screen patients for various financial and service program eligibility.
8. Keep patients informed about wait times and ensure waiting area is clean and comfortable.
9. Performs other general office tasks.



QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of office systems and designs, includes cash handling.
2. Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions.
3. Excellent people/phone skills and must be detailed oriented and able to multi-task. Proven record of customer service excellence.
4. Able to work in a busy environment.
5. Strong computer abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
6. Basic math skills, including cash handling.
7. Ability to learn Medicare, Medicaid and major insurance carrier regulations, procedures and benefit plans.
8. Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding systems helpful but NOT NEEDED.
9. Strong interest in working with underserved population.
10. Exceptional critical thinking/problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Typing speed of 45 to 50 WPM.
2. Strong computerized accounting and word processing skills
