Front Office Training Specialist

DUTIES

Trains new employees on policies and procedures related to billing, coding, cash handling, special patient financial programs, Practice Management System. Provides follow up training with staff as needed. Assists in development of training materials. Audits data entry from all clinics and programs (Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health) in computerized PMS. Audits posting of charges, adjustments and payments, daily deposits and patient demographic information. Reviews accuracy of coding. Prepares a variety of reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum 2 years' experience with medical data entry, ICD-9 and CPT coding.
2. Extensive knowledge of medical billing terminology and regulations.
3. Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
4. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
5. Excellent communication skills and able to develop and present training to individuals and groups.
6. Reliable transportation to travel between sites, when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Practice Management system.
