Human Resources Recruiter

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for talent acquisition and placement of staff across all Terry Reilly lines of business. This role works in collaboration with leaders across the organization in assisting with all planning and execution of recruiting.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Responsible for development and administration of a recruiting program to meet the workforce needs across the organization. Strategy implementation and administration.
  • Works with managers and supervisors on the identification of workforce needs, skill sets, training requirements and career ladders.
  • Works with Outreach and Communications Manager on the development and implementation of recruitment material including, posting employment information on key external and internal recruiting sites to help meet both compliance and distribution objectives.
  • Manages the applicant tracking program to document recruitment and screening activities for relevant positions.
  • Conducts pre-screening interviews, participates in interviews with managers, reference checks, background checks, and other pre-employment screening activities as appropriate for each position.
  • Works closely with the hiring managers for onboarding new hires; ensuring that all pre-employment requirements of candidates are met prior to time of hire.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate information is transmitted to the organization's HRIS prior to start date.
  • Responsibility for maintaining job announcement documentation.
  • Assists HR Dept. and organization to ensure job descriptions are organized, non-duplicated, and easily accessible. Updates descriptions with approved changes and maintains current version in the employee personnel file and on Intranet.
  • Updates compensation handbook/database as needed in cooperation with leadership.
  • Oversees and administers the Employee Recognition Program, database tracking and awards.
  • Collaborates with Corporate Trainer and supervisors on the identification and development of education on hiring practices and training material to support employee success.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources leadership on the development and implementation of effective on-boarding strategies.
  • Provides input to Human Resources leadership on compensation plan changes needed to support successful recruitment.
  • Provides general HR assistance to employees, managers and external customers. Assists HR leadership in preparing policy revisions, or project implementation as appropriate.
  • Provides backup support for other members of the Human Resources Team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associated Degree or two-years Human Resources experience in lieu of education
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • A self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Is professional in appearance and manner.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five years HR experience with PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
  • Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
