GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Medical Assistant Supervisor coordinates a team of medical assistants, providing instruction, training, coordination and support to ensure smooth processes.  This position will work within the Patient Centered Medical Home model to systematically analyze patient health information to identify and coordinate the care needs of the individual patient focusing on the continuity of care. The Medical Assistant Supervisor is responsible for oversight to manage and track coordination of pro-active care for patients with chronic conditions as well as identify wellness and/or preventative service for clinical patients. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited Medial Assisting program and is currently certified/registered.
• 3-5 years of medical assisting experience.
• Ability to pass administered skills/competency testing with a minimum score of 85%
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with public and other staff persons. Strong customer relations and communication skills with a proven record of customer service excellence. Articulate telephone voice, legible penmanship, reasonable spelling skills and proficient computer skills.
• Able to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple activities and tasks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and use sound judgment
• Ability to handle stress related to demanding or difficult patients/team members, competing priorities, and changing processes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 or more years medical assisting experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Previous supervisory experience.
