Patient Financial Services Analyst

The Patient Financial Services Analyst effectively manages trends and mitigates potential problems with third party billing.  Assists in maintaining the GE Centricity practice management system.  Backs up all Patient Financial Services functions and manages the GE Collections Module.

Minimum Qualifications:

1.  Minimum 5 years medical office experience.

2.  Minimum 5 years family practice coding experience; diagnosis (ICD-9) and/or procedure (CPT).

3.  Minimum 5 years experience billing third-party insurances.

4.  Minimum 5 years strong collections experience.

5.  Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and mejor insurance carrier regulations, procedures and plans.

6.  Highly analytical and can propose multiple solutions to problems-recommending and defending their strongest solution.

7.  Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with physicians, coworkers, hospital staff, third-party payors and patients.

8.  Computer proficiency in Word/Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

1.  Bilingual in English/Spanish.

2.  Experience billing FQHC Medicare and FQHC Medicaid.

3.  Certified Professional Coder or other coding credential.

4.  GE Centricity practice management experience.
