Provider Contracts Specialist

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES       

Has overall responsibility at all provider contracting to ensure that all clinician staff are appropriately credentialed with contracted payers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Responsible for administration and management of provider contracts, and group credentialing initial as well as renewals and revisions during the course of employment.
• Maintains current record of providers contracting process in providers individual file as well as an overall process report in Excel.
• Provides as a primary resource to assist providers in contracting, billing and yearly attestation requirements.
• Initiates quarterly complete roster reconciliations with contracted payers.
• Maintains professional competency through continuing education opportunities and attendance of professional meetings and workshops.
• Responsible for management and organization of all payer audits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 - 2 years of experience with provider contracts.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• A self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Competence with spreadsheet (Excel) and word processing (Word) programs
• Is professional in appearance and manner.
