Receptionist - All Sites

On-Call-Varied Hours

Terry Reilly Health Services is looking for an on-call, float receptionist to work in our seven medical clinics.

(Includes rotating evening and Saturday hours)
1. Greet and assist clinic patients in accessing needed care in a professional, courtesy and efficient manner.
2. Manage incoming calls.
3. Prepare necessary financial records for patients required for registration.
4. Collect and post patient payments.
5. Schedule appointments.
6. Screen patients for various financial and service program eligibility. (Example Zero-Pay and Homeless Grants)
7. Performs other general office tasks.
8. Keep patients informed about wait times and ensure waiting area is clean and comfortable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Fluency in English and Spanish required
2. Knowledge of medical office systems and designs, includes cash handling. Proficient computer skills.
3. Knowledge to perform general office tasks including scanning and responding to medical records requests.
4. Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions.
5. Ability to learn Medicare, Medicaid and major insurance carrier regulations, procedures and benefit plans and to gain good working knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding systems.
6. Excellent people/phone skills.
7. Must be detailed oriented and able to multi-task while maintaining professional and courtesy image in a busy environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Typing speed of 45 to 50 WPM.
2. Three years medical office experience.
3. Prior experience working in a lead role or being a mentor to co-workers.
