Unit Clerk / Psych Tech

DIVISION: Behavioral Health / Allumbaugh House

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides diverse administrative support services to the Behavioral Health Director, Allumbaugh House Manager and staff. Ongoing responsibilities include tasks and duties relating to client and referral source relations, meeting and schedule coordination, records maintenance, correspondence, supplies management, and designated quality assurance activities. Functions as a Psychiatric Technician to provide nursing care in collaboration with multi-disciplinary treatment team members, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Successful clearance of Department of Health and Welfare criminal background check.
• Three years prior clerical experience.
• One year work experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Excellent human relations skills.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and database software.
• Good writing and communication skills.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• No evidence of immoral or unethical behavior.
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
• A self-starter who stays productive under minimal supervision.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Two or more years' experience in the field of alcoholism, substance use disorders and mental health.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Familiarity with State of Idaho Health & Welfare Mental Health System.
